Whole-person wellness is a way of viewing ourselves and others as multi-dimensional beings.
We are encouraged to focus on wellness in all areas of our life. We learn to give ourselves positive messages, and surround ourselves with positive people who give us those same messages. Retirement communities are adopting the whole-person wellness principle to develop a culture of wellness for residents and employees. By giving employees and residents access to gym memberships, educational programs, support groups and other tools, their lives, and the community is enriched.
